An Update on Our Projects
Following the Government of India’s announcement of a nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19, BET has taken immediate and strict measures across all our centres to ensure the safety of our children, elderly residents, and staff.
How We Are Protecting Our Community
- Children & Students: Almost all children and staff from our four educational centres have returned home safely. However, roughly 100 children—including orphans and those from Mizoram and Tripura State—remain under our care in our Chaparda boarding houses, where they are being looked after safely.
- Elderly Residents: All our elderly residents remain safe, well, and cared for in our homes.
Strict Complex Lockdown
To minimise any risk of infection, the entire Chaparda complex is under full lockdown, with no outside visitors permitted.
Making the Most of the Downtime
While the schools and boarding houses are empty, our management team is hard at work conducting thorough deep-cleaning, sanitisation, and necessary building renovations.
We are also preparing new hygiene and social distancing guidelines for when our students return.
