Sanitation & Hygiene

With the recent promotion by the Government through offering subsidies for every household to have a toilet facility, Anand Dhara has encouraged and facilitated many families to build a toilet that did not have the facility.

Also, seminars have been held in Chaparda with the village leaders educating them on best practice in hygiene and sanitation. The Anand Dhara volunteers have then arranged with some of the village leaders to have a ‘clean your village day’ when they have joined hands with the leaders, village residents and school children from that village to clean their village. Leaders of other villages have then been invited to that village to show the benefits of a clean village.
